What happened?? I'll tell you - sort of...
Many of you are probably wondering what happened to this website. - no updating, no news, not much of anything going on here except recent scores being posted. I'm not going to get into details and bore you with stuff you don't really care about - after all you're here about hockey. Let's just say life got in the way and this website is a one man operation so it suffered from neglect. I will be cleaning the site up and getting things up to date sometime soon and then it all should be updated on a weekly basis. Until then I'll put the scores up, update the standings, and more. See you in 2024 & 2025! Go Army!

ARMY ICES RMC WITH 4-1 WIN...
A great rivalry that started in 1923 and resumed last year after a five year break, continued last night with a 4-1 Army win over Royal Military College of Canada at a sold out Tate Rink in West Point. It was the 77th time the two squads have played. Thane Heller netted two goals on the night as Jonathan Gerht and Maurice Alvarez also scored. Army lead 1-0 after the first period and 2-0 at the end of two periods thanks to Thane Heller's two goals. Heller was credited with the first period goal after an RMC defenseman knocked the puck past his own goalie. Heller knocked in a rebound for his second score of the evening in the second period providing Army a 2-0 edge. The Paladins cut the Black Knight lead to one at 9:46 of the third period. Maurice Alvarez then opened up a 3-1 lead for the Black Knights with a score at the 12:43 mark. Jonathan Gehrt added a power play tally with 1:57 left in the contest to finish off the scoring and seal the win. Army outshot RMC 48-13 with Black Knight netminder Ryan Leets making 12 stops. RMC goalie Paul Dorsey had a busy night, making 44 saves.
Other notes on the night - Legendary coach Jack Riley, former Army head coach and 1960 Gold Medal Olympic hockey coach (we like to call it the first "Miracle on Ice"), was on hand for the game. Attendance was 2,629 at a packed Tate Rink - Army's fifth sell-out of the season.

They're Back - Army and RMC renew the oldest collegiate sports rivalry...
Army and RMC (Royal Military College of Canada) renewed their 75 year rivalry on Feb. 4th, 2012. RMC is essentially the Canadian equivalent of West Point. The series started in 1923 and the last game was played in the 2005-2006 season. This was always an intense game that was often compared to Army-Navy in football and was a sell out at West Point and in Canada. The 2013 game for the "Challenge Cup" also was played at Tate Rink and sold out with the 2014 match up to be played in Canada. Simply great news for the Black Knights and their hockey fans!
